What this converter does
This converter turns litres per second into cubic feet per minute and back. Multiply L/s by 2.119 to get CFM — useful when a ventilation rate is set in metric but the fan you are selecting is rated in CFM. It updates as you type.

The formula
Each unit has a fixed value in m³/s, so converting between any two means going through it once:
result = value × factor_from ÷ factor_toWhere:
- value = the number you typed
- factor_from = the “from” unit’s value in m³/s
- factor_to = the “to” unit’s value in m³/s
Worked example
Convert a 190 L/s supply rate to CFM.
1 CFM = 0.471947 L/s190 ÷ 0.471947 = 402.6 CFMA 190 L/s supply is about 403 CFM.
